PEDESTRIANISED SHOPPING STREETS

In several of the city centre's traffic-free streets, you'll find all kinds of shops, from large chains to cosy boutiques. Did you know that
the Korte Steenstraat was the first pedestrian shopping street in Belgium in 1962?

K IN KORTRIJK

This shopping centre opened in 2010 and is the work of the architects Robbrecht & Daem. Underground car parks and an impressive shopping centre were created with 34,000 m2 shopping space right in the city centre. Events are regularly held here and every Friday all the shops are open until 8 p.m. 

Open: every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday until 8 p.m., closed Sunday (unless an event is being held)

RING KORTRIJK

This shopping centre opened in 1973 on the edge of the city of Kortrijk, on the border with Kuurne, and offers shopping space of 35,000 m2. There is a range of fashion, leisure, decoration, personal care, food, services and catering establishments. There are well-known names such as Albert Heijn, Hema, C&A, JBC, H&M, Kruidvat etc.
